Keynote speaker: 

Terri Griffith

Keynote speaker, Terri Griffith, Author of "The Plugged-In Manager", Professor, Santa Clara University, DigiOM writer and high tech blogger, will preview her forthcoming book "Engagement 2020", which addresses, ‘the needs, practices, and evolution (revolution?) of how we build our companies and do our work. We need to move from bounded, discrete jobs and organizations to engaged people and jobs in fluid organizations where new methods and products are everyone's responsibility.’

Then our iconic Silicon Valley Innovator Panel – Google, Seagate and Sandisk -- , will share insights and perspectives from recent and ongoing pioneering innovations and  leadership:  

Joan Motsinger

Joan Motsinger, VP Operations Strategy
Seagate Technology

Joan Motsinger is an accomplished Operations and Supply Chain leader with over 25 years in engineering, global operations and supply chain experience. She has a proven track record of understanding complex operational issues, and developing and implementing sustainable improvements in operational cost, product delivery and supply chain flexibility.

Over the course of her career she has developed strong relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers in the storage and electronics industries and is recognized in these industries for her business operations and technology acumen.

Motsinger is currently the Vice President of Global Operations Strategy for Seagate. Before taking her current position, she served in several capacities while based at Seagate’s product design and manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Singapore. Specific responsibilities have included Product and Component Modeling and Design, Component Process Engineering, Offshore Product and Subassembly Operations, Product Line Management, and Supply Chain Development and Operations.

Motsinger holds bachelor’s of science degrees in Mathematics and Mathematics/Computer Science from Loras College and is a graduate of Harvard’s Program for Senior Executives.

Wally Sanabria

Wally Sanabria, Director, Worldwide Procurement
SanDisk Corporation

Wally is responsible for Organizational Excellence and Scalability; the development and implementation of the systems, tools, processes and procedures used by the global SanDisk Procurement organization. In that capacity, he managed the configuration and implementation of the Procure-to-Pay modules of the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system at SanDisk and the complete revision of all procedures and training vehicles. He also developed and manages the Procurement Training, Supplier Risk Management, and Supplier Corporate Social Responsibilities programs.

Before joining SanDisk in 2001, his career included senior procurement management positions at Unisys, Digital Equipment and Applied Materials, as well as senior management consultant roles at Eclipse Group and the CEPO Group. Wally is a graduate of the University of the State of New York, and has completed more than half the requirements for an MBA at Bellevue University.

John Lowe

John Lowe, Director Logistics
Google

John Lowe is a logistics professional with over 20 years of logistics experience managing diverse operations. John joined Google in 2008 as their Director of Logistics Operations. His team supports a wide variety of business operations at Google ranging from transportation, warehousing and service operations.

Prior to joining Google, John served as Director, Global Warehousing for Lam Research and prior to that Logistics Manager for Americas operations at Cisco Systems, in manufacturing operations. Additionally John spent 8 years on the third party logistics provider side of the equation, with MSAS/ DHL and Menlo Worldwide Logistics.

John holds a BS from San Jose State and MBA from Golden Gate University.



Warner Gooijer

Warner Gooijer, Global Service Supply Chain/Project Manager
Cisco

Warner de Gooijer is a strategic analyst/project manager at Cisco Systems in Global Supply Chain Operations where he develops new projects that transform the global operations to help create the service supply chain of the future. Prior to joining Cisco Systems, he worked as an analyst for CaseBauer, a strategic business consulting and market research firm for the medical diagnostics industry. His international work experience includes an apprenticeship and master’s thesis study at Volkswagen headquarters in Germany and a second master’s thesis at General Electric Financial Insurance in the Netherlands.

Warner is a multi-lingual international business professional with a BA from the Inholland University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands and an MBA from Northern Arizona University in the United States. In his spare time, Warner likes to hike, climb, cycle around the bay area and spend time with the family in Europe.
