The CSCMP SFRT is pleased to announce that Jill Buck will be our featured speaker at the Annual Banquet on May 19th.

Jill is an internationally featured speaker at business, public policy, and environmental conventions. She is one of the nation’s leading advocates of free market solutions for environmental protection issues. Jill’s focus is in teaching business leaders, across industry sectors, to drive revenue up and costs down through environmentally responsible business practices. She was a VIP speaker for the 1st Green Business Summit in Beijing on Earth Day 2008. jillbuck.JPG

In 2002, Jill wrote the Go Green Initiative, which is now the largest and fastest growing environmental education program in the world. It operates in all 50 states, 13 countries, and on four continents. The Go Green Initiative is endorsed by the National School Boards Association (NSBA), National Recycling Coalition, 8 State PTA’s, California Integrated Waste Management Board, the California Resource Recovery Association, and many more organizations. Jill is the host of “Go Green Radio”, a weekly program on the U.S.’s largest internet talk radio station, www.VoiceAmerica.com.  A graduate of the University of Illinois, Jill Buck is an honor graduate of the Military Justice School, and a graduate of the Navy’s small arms weapons course, taught by former Navy Seals. She serves as Commissioner on the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Commission and owns Buck Consulting, based in Pleasanton CA.

CSCMP SFRT will be presenting 2 awards to students who are pursuing studies related to supply chain management: one is a $2000 scholarship, the other a fully paid trip to the next annual CSCMP conference, in Chicago.  We are committed to supporting the future leaders in our industry. Thanks to your participation in our events and the generosity of our sponsors, we are able to continue to provide this much needed assistance.

The SFRT is also pleased this year, to donate to the Guareda Hospital of Eastern Chad, the only hospital for the entire region, serving several refugee camps with approximately 50,000 Darfuri refugees and 110,000 Chadians.  Our friends at MainFreight are long time supporters of this endeavor.
